The Streak Continues for Lady Tigers
Champion Christian College used a decisive third-quarter surge to pull away from Randall University and earn an 84–69 win Saturday night (Feb. 7, 2026) at the Champion Christian Community Center.
Randall started well, taking a 20–16 lead after the first quarter and still holding a slim 39–38 advantage at halftime. The game flipped coming out of the break, as Champion Christian exploded for a 32–13 third quarter to seize control. Randall steadied in the fourth (17–14), but the damage was done, with Champion Christian closing out the 15-point victory.
What decided it
The third quarter. Champion Christian's +19 margin in the third was the clear separator in an otherwise competitive game. After trailing by one at the half, the Tigers (Champion Christian) turned the game into a double-digit lead in 10 minutes and never relinquished it.
Free throws and efficiency. Champion Christian consistently got to the line and converted, going 23-of-30 (76.7%) at the stripe, compared with Randall's 10-of-17 (58.8%). Champion also shot a higher overall field-goal percentage (42.9% to 32.0%), helping offset Randall's edge in total rebounds.
